Why do I have such an intense hatred of college?

I had a great GPA in high school. When I got to college, I made good grades there, also. But I couldn't stand the mentality there. I was so irritated by the students who would announce their answers in front of the cl, and the professors who would roll around in their egos. Even the way the professors walked felt elitist; they were like older children given the right to babysit younger siblings for a night. There was a certain attitude, like the students were a collective parody of themselves. They would strut around in their casual college attire, sporting North Face jackets and Starbucks cups. Worst of all were the regular wearers of flip-flops, and the certain carefree yet clean/superior vibe they gave off. It sickened me so bad that I left. Does anyone have insight into why I have such a hatred of college?
