I am six weeks pregnant and I enjoy walking. My obgyn says it's fine (10 points)?
You probably won't (and shouldn't, really) lose weight while you're pregnant, but you'll probably tone up quite a bit. You might lose a few pounds in the next few weeks if you experience morning sickness, but your body will try to make up for it and more during the rest of your pregnancy. Don't deprive yourself, and don't overindulge. You'll probably start feeling pretty athletic once you hit the second trimester, so don't panic if you do start putting on weight, as some of it might be muscle. Walking will keep you in shape for labor and delivery, not to mention that if you continue walking after your little one is born you'll likely lose the baby weight fairly quickly. Mine was gone in about seven months, and I wasn't exactly dedicated to my workout. Good luck!
