I need help proofreading this paragraph (introduction) any suggestions?

The Film Red River by Howard Hawks shows the main two characters Tom Dunson and Matt Garth as two different versions of the western hero. Tom Dunson as the typical western hero enforced by society . and Matt Garth as the new democratic, revolutionary and soft leader who struggles with Dunson’s dictatorship, imposing different forms of authority .These two heroes’ struggle for power automatically place them into the most criticized western heroes categories such as the mythic, romantic, ironic and high and low mimetic hero.
