Why do people call Chris Benoit a midget?

i mean hes not even short, hes 5'10, thats like only an inch shorter than me, i heard the guy on CNN say he was taking steroids because of his height and he wanted to be in the main event by being a big guy, sure maybe his son was dwarf but he wasnt short at all, he was normal size, what do you think?
